I am a perinatal support worker (PNSW) and certified labour & birth doula operating out of Welland Ontario. I have worked as a personal support worker for many years and have experience in the health care field, as well as working with a variety of health care professionals. I service growing families within the Niagara Region and Hamilton area.
I am also a mother of three children, two boys and a girl and I am happily married to my husband.
My passion for the birth world started after the birth of my first son. I quickly realized I wanted to work with birthing people and their families. As a first-time parent, I felt my feelings/questions were not valid or heard during my experience with my care providers. I wasn’t aware of the various supports and rights I had during my labour and delivery. During my pregnancy with my second son, I educated myself on the supports that were available and the rights that I have.
This sparked my passion for working with birthing people. I now families to achieve a positive and empowering birthing experience. Providing families with the information and education so they can make informed decisions about their care as well as their birth.
My goal as your birth professional is to support and empower you, your partner, and your family.
Whether you are expecting for the first time, transitioning to parenthood, or transitioning to a family of little ones, I am here to help in any way you need.
